DOA - No resolution

Ordered a UMI - Android Phone, arrived DOA (apparently they buy defective / recalled batches knowing ~1/3 the products don't work and that most customers will eventually stop fighting for product replacement and accept a 1/2 value store credit) I payed extra when I fedex shipped my phone back to them to make sure they had to sign for it, I didn't want any excuses. Didn't think they would get it and just say nothing was in the box, which is exactly what they did. So no I'm out the money the phone and literally 0 resolution from the company. They got me to pay them for a product and then send it back to them and I ended up with literally nothing but less money.

You do not live up to your warrenty. Your customer service is terrible.

You don't even get back to PayPal.

PayPal wants me to send item to China, you give an address in California.

PayPal asks you to confirm California address and gets no response and wants me to send item to China. You guys make life difficult.

Honest Retailer Worth a Try!

I don't easily order stuff from a unfamiliar online retailer, but as I urgently need some smart phones for my fellow colleagues, I gave GearBest a try. The transaction was unexpectedly smooth and all the phones arrived in a week! That's amazing! After that, I have another 3 more purchases and they are all smooth as the first one. So I will keep GearBest as one of my vendors for online purchases. I like GearBest at its low price, prompt delivery, and a plus for my order is that I expected android phones from China has no Google Play Store and I am expecting to install it myself for my fellow colleagues, but when the phones arrive, they all come with Google services, that save me a lot of work!

Why would I ever again order from "gear best" when I could literally get the same items in a fraction of the time. 25 days?!? Really? My mistake. Amazon Prime is know for its higher pricing because now they include the shipping in the cost. FINE! I'll pay that. This month wait is the most ridiculous thing EVER!! Your detriment that you want customers to write a 100 word critique....I will never, ever buy from this company again. It is miserable results and I wasted days and days waiting for the solar lights that arrived just yesterday without the OTHER item I ordered. ***. Never again!!!

Worst online purchase experience in my life!

I bought the I5 wristband online (Dec 28, 2015). At the time the site did not state that my order was processed and the site 'stalled.' I refreshed the screen and completed the order. I then received an email saying that I had ordered the item twice. Within 60 seconds I had contacted GearBest to cancel the duplicate order to which they advised me that the items had already been shipped out. Yeah Right. (I bought two of the these watches as christmas presents two weeks earlier and it took over TWO weeks to 'ship out'). How convenient for GearBest... I then noticed that after having contacted them that my online tracking of these two items had all of a sudden changed to 'shipped out.' I received one of these items (from the 28 Dec purchase) late January. No sign of the 'duplicate' having arrived although the online tracking showed the same status for this 'lost' item as the item I had just received. I waited the maximum period and then sent a complaint that I had not received my item. I checked my tracking number with my post office and that the shipping address was correct (clearly I had already received my one order at the correct address so this was not the problem). GearBest customer support advised me that they would check with insurance as I obviously didn't want the order anyways and had asked them for a refund. Bare in mind that I had paid extra for tracking AND insurance on these items. Its obviously mid March now. I have still not received the item and GearBest are doing their utmost best NOT to refund me. I asked them for my refund and they want to 'confirm reshipment.' When I let them no that under no circumstances do I want reshipment, that I want my full refund to my PayPal account, and that I will never shop at GearBest again I then got this response: "We can refund you instead USD17.99 on your Wallet (store credit) and exceptionally reward you with extra points(e.g. If your refund is 1USD = 5 points ,3USD =3*5 points => get 15 points etc) You can use both your wallet and points to purchase your future products." I paid $21.34 for the item- tracking and insurance. What insurance??? What on earth am I 'assured' of? Why do they refuse to refund my PayPal account? Where on earth is consumer protection? There is obviously no recourse here as the support centre clearly have no interest in helping their customers. They have drawn this process out and have ignored my requests (and rights for that matter). Besides the principle of the matter- I am South African and the rand to dollar conversion is really hefty so its a lot of money for me to lose. I am beyond livid at this stage.

Homtom Phone dodgy and cheap

I purchased this H7 homtom, it keeps going to voicemail and will not accept any calls. I contact these crooks and am told warranty was 45 days.

The warranty started when i purchased the item, it takes 14 working days to arrive and then I get less than 30 days to use and find out its a dud and has issues. My friend bought the same phone and it also will not receive calls. I have done my research anf troubleshooting to try to fix the issue but all the phone settings are correct and the phone is connected to 4G as it should, so it has to be a faulty phone or andoid software.

Beware of this site, warranty is short and starts from purchase date, and they will only repair the phone under warranty after this time but you have to pay the postage. Not worth the time and money.

Update, I received a $50 USD parital refund. It appears gearbest have some reasonable customer service after you complain enough.

It was not a refund of the total amount but better than nothing. Thanks for the service Gearbest you have redeemed your name a little.

So gearbest agreed to send me another controller after about a month, and it finally arrived yesterday only to find out it was another faulty one, I took it out its packaging and went to charge it up and it didn't even switch on. Cube Iwork 10 Flagship Review

After watching the very professional reviews on chinese tablets at techtablets.com, I bought a Cube Iwork10 tablet from gearbest.com and the optional keyboard to make it a laptop. paid $2 for expedited shipping and got it in 1 week. works great going on 1 month now. Now, I went into this FULLY AWARE that if it needed repair, i would have to send it back to China, at a cost of around $30-$40. Ouch. yes its a bit of a gamble. MOST units work fine without major issue. I was willing to roll the dice and save $300 - fully half the price of a "brand name" tablet with identical features (same cpu, screen etc). To me, buying HP or Acer would basically mean Im paying $300 for the warranty, cuz i could care less what logo is printed on the outside.

Gearbest ripped me off

GearBest has ripped me off. They sent me an incomplete 3d printer kit and after over a month of begging them to send me the rest of the parts necessary to make this thing run they are now refusing to make things right. Kind of hard to print something with an incomplete kit. It's a boat anchor.A price that was "too good to be true"? Turns out it was. I hope you never need support from this company because their support is one of the poorest I've EVER encountered. This is one of their own products too, a testament to the *** poor quality of the company in general. First my product shipped several weeks late and now I'm left with something that won't work. It's not like I can go buy this part locally.... I will be posting the full support tickets in the near future so that everyone can plainly see what trying to deal with their "support" department is like.

I recently purchased in MX4 Android TV box. I powered it on everything appeared to work fine the remote however would power the Box off and would not power the box back on. I know for a fact there is an issue with either the box or the remote. gearbest says the remote will only power off the unit and will not reply to my concerns as to how you're supposed to power it back on without physically unplugging it and then plugging it back in. They will not refund my money nor will they replace the remote. This is a horrible company. Buyer Beware!

I have Ordered Zul Z2 Smartphone on 15 Dec-16. Amt. Paid. As per Shipping Status. From 18 Dec till not Shipped from China. I wrote to system account Support. Everyday But System Generated Reply Given. From 20 Day. So. Never any order on Gearbest. No any Response or Reply from Gearbest. Only Give Docket no of Courier. While Courier Reply till time No any said no Docket issued. Like Gearbest is Fraud and Cheating Customer. They give big offer but seevicE is Zero.

I purchased a smart watch,No1 D5, and it arrived on time . The watch dosn't work properly. The OS is slow , XT OS. The symbols and graffics are shabby at best. I've tryed to return it, but I am being ignored. This seams to be the way they do buisnness in China. I'm a senior living on a fixed income and $180 CND is a lot of money to spend for nothing in return. I have posted on Facebook and my friends are picking it up and passing it along. In conclusion I would say DON'T BY FROM THESE PEOPLE. They are scammers and thieves. Nuff said.....
