Resolved: Warranty avoidance by Gearbest
got 50$ for "inconvenience". Fed up, takes too much time and effort. Unbelievable.
Finally two options submitted: 1. leave the item and get 50$ refund 2.
send it back and get 100$ refund.
Each shipping cost 10$ for customers. One of the solutions accepted as I'm fed up with them.
Phone been sent back to Gearbest for warranty repairs. In excellent cosmetic condition.
After 2 month Gearbest sent back not my, another used phone in much worse condition, with signs of heavy use: scratches, impact dent, signs of poor previous repair, such as popping out glue under the screen, misaligned charging port, etc. Gearbest refuse to send my phone back, offer 20$ to cover inconvenience. As customer support representative mentioned to me they do it every time, repair phones in bulk and sending any phone back to customers. So, that means you will never get your phone back.
There is nothing mentioned about it in their warranty policy. Does it means there is no warranty and buyer not protected at all?
Outcome of it I'm going to buy a new phone, not at gearbest of course. Avoid.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $150.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
Gearbest Pros: Reasonable shipping time when items available.
Gearbest Cons: Customers service, False items availability information.
